![]() August 23rd, 2007 Millett Hall Oxford, OH {We open in the office of new CoP President, Jason Pryde} {The door opens wide and standing there is Joey Brannon and Donald Rice} PRYDE: Shouldn't you two be getting ready for your match? BRANNON: Why? So that you can fire one of use two, because we aren't marketable enough? {Pryde looks up at Brannon} PRYDE: What are you talking about? RICE: At Hunted, you fired a man who built this company from the ground up. The NWF was dead when he took it over and the BJWC was dying. He formed a great company that when it hit it's peaks, was better than any other federation in the NWA. {Jason places some documents down on his desk, then folds his hand in front of him} PRYDE: Listen guys, I want this transition to be smooth as possible. Sometimes heads have to roll to keep a business going strong, unfortunately it was Mr. Letner's. Look at this place, Joseph. How many active men are there? BRANNON: Enough. PRYDE: No, there isn't. You, McNeil, Arenas, Trek, Daniels, McCain and sometimes your little Mexican friends want to play too. Hell, even Donald here isn't completely with it all the time. When was the last time you actually mentally showed up for a match Donald? RICE: Well... PRYDE: Exactly. So while you two are crying about losing Letner...I am busy trying to reform this federation to what it used to be. {Jason grabs the two documents he had in his hand earlier} PRYDE: Right here, I hold two contracts. One is a huge name in the NWA, who has held multiple titles. The other carries on the tradition with his name, who no doubt WILL hold multiple titles. You see, I bring entertainment and value to this place. So you two can hold out from wrestling as much as you want...but don't come crying to me when someone else who enjoys a full roster and wrestles, gets a title shot before you. {Brannon slams his hands down on the desk} BRANNON: I don't give a shit about title shots, Mr. Pryde. PRYDE: Get your hands off of my desk. RICE: Come on, Joey. {Donald takes Brannon by the arm and pulls him away from Pryde's desk. He lets go and Brannon continues to follow him} BRANNON: This isn't over, Jason. PRYDE: Oh I agree, Mr. Brannon. It is just beginning. {Fade Out} COMMERCIAL Joey Brannon vs. Donald Rice Both men refuse to come
out, just as they had earlier. After a ten count, both men are
subject of a double-count out. Bobby McCain vs. Ryan Eagles This match took less than a couple minutes as former GLWA Heavyweight Champion Ryan Eagles DEMOLISHED Bobby McCain. In the end, a Sunset Beach Flip ended Bobby's night. Ryan picks up the quick victory. TNC Championship #1
Contendership Match Triple Six Trek really showed us what determination can do. After all the troubles he has been through, the man still keeps on entertaining us all. The Trekster whipped Kyle Daniels from post to post, showing who the better man is without any question. In the end, it was Trek hitting Danies with the Instant Replay, for the win. After the match was over though, Kyle was left not moving. Paramedics quickly came down to the ring. COMMERCIAL FOR *CLASH FOR THE CUP 2007* {As we fade back from commercial, we pan around the arena to see the fans. Then without warning, 'No Pride' by Greenday pops out over the speakers. Most of the fans let out a large chorus of boos as Jason Pryde steps out onto the entrance ramp with a microphone in hand} {His music stops} PRYDE: Such energy you people have. {They boo louder} PRYDE: See, you may hate me now, but soon you will love what I've done. {They boo even louder} PRYDE: That is why I am out here tonight. I am here to announce our plans for Clash For The Cup Two-Thousand and Seven. This year, just like the past three times, we have invited outsiders to join in on our fun. And boy, have they have come out of the woodwork. {Jason smiles} PRYDE: Our eight men are strong and determined and I will break down the Dreamer's Cup Tournament right now. The first match of the night will see our current 'TNC Champion' Austin Arenas, take on Triple Six Trek. {Fans pop} PRYDE: Then the other match on that upper bracket, is BACW's Randy Acorn versus HWA's Insomniac. {Fans pop LOUD} PRYDE: Now going down to the lower bracket, we have HWA's Keith Kennedy versus Darrel Besolve of the BACW. {Fans pop} PRYDE: And the final match of the tournament, is our 'Great Lakes Champion' Ronnie McNeil against the two-time defending Dreamer's Cup Champion, Joey Brannon. {Fans give MAJOR pop} PRYDE: And just like every year, a one million dollar prize is on the line. Also this year, we will be copying off last year's success. Both the TNC Championship and the Great Lakes Championship Titles will be on the line in every match in which their owners wrestle in. {Fans snap, crackle and pop} PRYDE: And whomever walks away as the Great Lakes Champion, has a major problem. Because scheduled in a number one contenders match for the Great Lakes Title, will be former NWA superstar David Dunn and a man who plans to continue the tradition of his name an his mask, Demonio De la Sangre III. {The place goes nuts} PRYDE: Now see...you boo me, yet I bring all this action to the CoP. Enjoy folks, the Main Event is coming up. COMMERCIAL FOR *CLASH FOR THE CUP 2007* :::MAIN EVENT::: In what could of turned out to be a barn-burner, it lacked that certain something to make it special. Both men seemed to give it everything they had, but Austin Arenas just seemed to be out of gas. The match was one of Austin's better ones, but he just couldn't match the intensity of Ronnie McNeil. When all was said and done, Ronnie hit Austin with the Kiss of the Rose, to keep his Great Lakes Championship Title. {Just as Austin was finally
coming around to it, Triple Six Trek come running down to the ring.
He slide into the ring and stalked Austin, waiting for him to stand up
completely} {Austin stumbled to his feet and began looking for his TNC Title. As he turned around, Trek grabbed him and hit him with a monstrous Instant Replay that rang out through the arena} {Trek jumped to his feet and stared down at his advisory as the show faded off the air} Copyright 2007 - Circle of Pride |
